A bit of an odd one from Poland occurring in May. The Humanoid Sighting Reports have a longer account of this (number 48) the relevant bit is:
One of the men was lying on a blanket on the grass at about 5meters from the others, at the same time the young woman was filming the event with the video camera in her mobile phone. In one brief instance the image of her friend lying on the blanket appeared on the video, which lasted about 1.5 sec. Minutes later while reviewing the video something bizarre caught her eye. Next to the body of the man on the blanket something seemed to suddenly materialize, it seemed to be a humanoid figure about 70 to 80cm in height which seemed to bend down and touched the man with a sort of wand or rod. No one knows what happened later since the frame moved towards the right and away from the scene. After a while a dog that had been with them and had acted normally went to the location where the many was lying and acted nervously. It growled in the direction where the strange figure had appeared from. ... Several days later three red spots appeared on the man’s knee, they were placed in the shape of a triangle. According to the man it seemed to hurt like a snake bite. However he stated that he had not felt anything at the time.
The full clip is given at the end (but doesn't seem to work in some browsers) and here is the relevant part blown up:
There is some discussion at UFO Mystic (the hat tip link) and a longer dissection over at UFO Casebook. The only thing that really comes of it is that someone suggests a parallel with some of the reports from the Perm Anomalous Zone (nothing to do with seventies footie players) and the idea it all seems to suggest some kind of gnome/fairy-type encounter (I'd have to check if getting burns from them is a known side effect). The most relevant bit is:
But in 2 hours, an unacquainted girl came to me and said, that she has seen a "little green man" of 1-1.20 meters growth, in the meadow. He walked by her side for a while, and then touched her. She felt a burn during that touch. When she told me, where that meadow was, it appeared to be the place where I saw a "Black man". She saw a "little green man" in the daylight. She, also, was walking with a group, and suddenly saw someone walking beside her, at about 3-5 meters distance. Then she soon was left behind by the group, and in that moment, when she felt something again, she turned around. She saw a little man that looked more like a child. The girl looked at him for some time, then he suddenly came closer, and touched her hand. The girl felt her skin burn, she got scared and ran away without looking back.
Beyond it all being a bit weird it is all difficult to draw any conclusions from this. Could the thing on the video be some kind of artefact or a clever and subtle hoax (if the latter then it is nicely done)? No one can really tell, but what we can say is that thanks to cameras on every phone and the ease of publication via YouTube we are going to see more and more of this impossible-to-pin-down videos. And here is us once thinking that such near ubiquity of video coverage would eventually produce some killer evidence - instead it results in a steady stream of fakes and unclassifiable is-it-or-isn't-it footage. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
